You can hire a punt on the River Cam or take a stroll along the Backs, both offering spectacular views of Kings College or follow the river out to Grantchester, the attractive village immortalised by the poet Rupert Brooke. The Imperial War Museum, Duxford and the American Cemetery at Madingley are both a short distance away. Ely, with its magnificent cathedral and home of Oliver Cromwell; the historic market towns of St Ives, Huntingdon and St Neots; Newmarket, the home of horse racing, and National Trust Properties Anglesey Abbey, Audley End and Wimpole Hall are all within easy reach.
